This weekend I traveled to the quaint little town of Middleburg, Virginia to photograph Nicki and Reid's Wedding Day. Nestled amongst the rolling hills and vineyards of the Virginia countryside, Nicki and Reid said I Do in a beautiful outdoor ceremony. These two didn't let a little rain spoil their day but instead celebrated nature throughout their ceremony which included planting a small sapling. Guests enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere created by the couple's hand made origami centerpieces spread throughout the reception venue. A brick oven was brought in to cook up delicious pizzas for guests to enjoy.
A few weeks ago, I photographed this gorgeous outdoor wedding on a beautiful ship docked in Old Town Alexandria, "The Cherry Blossom". The bride, Megan and her dear friends worked hard to coordinate everything right down to the very last detail for her day. Under one of the most beautiful blue skies I have ever seen, Megan and Bill exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family while overlooking the Potomac River. Nobody could have asked for a more perfect day. Enjoy!
This week I had the wonderful opportunity to attend our dear friend's intimate wedding at Potomac Overlook Park. The day began early around 10am on this beautiful summer morning. Once everyone arrived, we all walked down a quiet path to a clearing in the woods where close family & friends watched them exchange vows under an old cherry tree. Several guests shared touching words at the conclusion of the ceremony. We then made our way back to a small picnic pavilion and shared sparkling cider and delicious Tres Leches wedding cake. We said farewell to the lovely couple as they left on their weekend getaway to Williamsburg, Virginia.
